Article Summary

The Claims Overview allows you to see a year to year view of your payroll periods in MainEvent. Defaulting to the current year, view the payroll period status, start and end dates, lock date, pay date, as well as the number of pending and approved claims. This feature is available on the global and client levels of the site. Let’s have a look.

Global Overview

The Global Claims Overview is really a Global Payroll Period Overview and will list an overview (see where we came up with the title?) of the state of each of those periods for a year. But first, you might want to know where to find this feature, so let’s start there.

From the Global homepage, click Claims in the navigation menu and select Claims Overview.

Now you’ll be looking at the Payroll Period Overview page. This will list the payroll periods scheduled for the current calendar year. It will include details about their status, start date, end date, month lock date, pay date, pending claims and approved claims.

A totals field will allow you to see the total of pending claims and approved claims at the bottom of the page.

If you need to see an overview from a previous year, you can do that too! Click the Year dropdown and select whatever year you’re looking for.

Likewise, if you run programs in more than one country (say, Canada and the US), you can find those alternate schedules under the schedule dropdown.

Client Overview

If you’re familiar with the Global Overview, the Client Overview isn’t going to offer you any great surprises. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, first you need to get there.

From the client-level navigation menu, click Claims and select Claims Overview.

Now you’ll be looking at a familiar face, but with a twist. The Payroll Period Overview on this page will again contain payroll periods scheduled for the current calendar year. It will include details about their status, start date, end date, month lock date, pay date, pending claims and approved claims. This page, however, will only include the payments for whichever client site you are on, rather than the global page which will contain all claims across the entire site.

Again, a totals field will display at the bottom for Pending Claims and Approved Claims.

As with Global, you will again have the option to select the year to view historic claims. The year selection will automatically default to the current year.

If you run programs in more than one country (say, Canada and the US), you can find those alternate schedules under the schedule dropdown.
